About the role
- Investigates and enforces compliance with licensing, zoning, and property standards by-laws
- Acts as an ambassador for businesses to assist with licensing compliance
- Conducts inspections, prepares reports, and provides evidence in legal settings
- Liaises with other regulatory bodies and maintains accurate records
Requirements
- Previous law enforcement experience or relevant education
- Completion of Ontario Property Standards Association Basic Course (Level I)
- Ability to complete Intermediate and Advanced Courses (Level II and III)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience with database management software (HANSEN or AMANDA) an asset
- Training in dispute resolution or mediation is an asset
- Valid Class 'G' Driver's License with a point-free record
