About the role
- The Director of Corporate is responsible for the management of the Corporate Banking business segment.
- Ensures adherence to the bank's credit policies and actively monitors portfolio quality.
- Through leadership and motivation, includes but is not limited to working with the other business segments to maximize deposit growth, fee income opportunities, loan growth, cross sales and referrals to other banking units.
- Structuring incentive campaigns, staff development; tracking results, developing sales marketing plans; establishing production goals, making business development calls with branch and lending personnel; working with Marketing Department to create advertising and marketing materials; evaluating staff members and seeking involvement in key community activities and business organizations.
- Ensures Bank's business segment and profitability goals are met.
- Participates in business development and expansion of client relationship activities.
- Acts as the primary advisor for a portfolio of corporate banking clients who need financial products and services to meet their financial needs.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of credit experience with credit approval responsibilities.
- Previous experience as a relationship manager.
- Exposure to multiple business lines with experience at handling more complex transactions.
- Good interpersonal skills are required to deal with banking professionals with various skill sets, risk management staff, clients and auditors.
- Credit training and private banking experience (lending or credit) is beneficial.
- Product development within the field is useful.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Must be proficient with infra-structure for centralized consumer/small business underwriting, underwriting practices, documentation and servicing issues.
- Good leadership abilities and strong negotiating skills are required.
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
