About the role

  • Represent Know Your Client (KYC) team in multiple forums, internally and externally, including senior management discussions and key stakeholder meetings across the business, compliance and operations to provide transparency on initiatives
  • Drive administrative, operational, reporting and quality improvements through partnership with internal teams
  • Manage financial control by applying a comprehensive understanding of the department Profit & Loss (P&L)
  • Work with leadership to support the business people strategy
  • Work with Global KYC management team to provide strategic direction and develop all aspects of the KYC control environment
  • Leads the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across programs and with Senior Management
  • Ensure proper and effective governance of tasks and processes with reference to internal policy and external regulation
  • Develop project plans and ongoing KYC training plans related to business, product and AML policies including review and attestation processes
  • Drive continuous improvements to quality of data, control reporting and associated metrics to increase global consistency

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Wealth Management and/or Retail Banking business lines with specific focus on Financial Crimes
  • First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Track record of managing internal relationships and demonstrated experience in leading sustained change management efforts
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and has high attention to details
  • Highly motivated, organized, and methodical
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Strategic thinker with product mindset able to see and document the path from problem to solution and challenge the status quo
