About the role
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development, and model development
- Monitor and control all phases of development: analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation
- Provide user and operational support on applications to business users
- Utilize in-depth applications development knowledge to analyze complex problems and evaluate business/system processes and industry standards
- Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis to ensure system design and functionality
- Consult with users/clients and other technology groups, recommend advanced programming solutions, and assist with installations and customer exposure systems
- Define operating standards and processes, serve as advisor/coach to new or lower level analysts, and act as SME to senior stakeholders
- Assess risk in business decisions, ensure compliance with applicable laws and policies, and escalate/manage/report control issues with transparency
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Data technologies
- Experience in Pyspark, Python and Bigdata technologies
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to operate with limited direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement
- Experience acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or coaching lower level analysts
- Demonstrated consideration for compliance with laws, policies, and risk assessment
