About the role

  • Analyze system / application architecture; ensure architecture conforms to enterprise blueprints and patterns
  • Evaluate and test potential IT architecture solutions to ensure they meet user needs and requirements
  • Create and produce moderately complex IT architecture designs to translate user requirements to solutions
  • Research and produce standards documents and future industry trends
  • Apply hardware engineering and software design theories and principles in researching, designing, and developing product hardware and software interfaces
  • Translate complex business problems into sound technical solutions
  • Train and mentor junior team members
  • Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations, and company policy

Requirements

  • 6+ years relevant solution architecture experience
  • 5+ years hardware engineering and software design
  • 3+ years knowledge of Java, Angular, ORaaS, microservices, authentication/authorization, and applying patterns
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to develop working relationships, manage multiple activities and changing priorities
  • Self-starter with ability to take the initiative and master new tasks quickly
  • Methodical, attention to detail
  • Trains and mentors junior team members
