Lead Risk Mitigation lesson learned reviews for Trade to ensure risk mitigation enhancements are made to management to assist in decision-making.
Review and advise on mitigating Trade-related risk Issues; coordinate and comprehensively manage issues with key stakeholders.
Responsible for the assessment of activities and processes, as per required Policies, Standards, and Procedures, to strengthen risk management quality within Trade.
Continually drive and manage controls enhancements focused on increasing efficiency and reducing risk within Trade.
Maintain oversight over emerging and existing risks, issues, control weaknesses, control processes, corrective actions, control validations, and control enhancement initiatives specific to Trade.
Manage the development and implementation of standardized risk and controls reporting across the Trade control framework.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions impacting Trade are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.
Assess the compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations relevant to Trade, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment based on the business practices. Mapping this within the Regulations Tool.
Review the root cause and escalate control issues within Trade with transparency, and effectively supervise the Product / Partner team activities, ensuring accountability and timeliness.
Partner effectively with 1st and 2nd Line of Defense teams supporting Trade to identify best practices and contribute to related policies and initiatives.
Requirements
Extensive experience in the Trade product or supporting stakeholder groups.
Complemented by 5+ years in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control-related functions within the financial services industry.
Possesses a proven track record of leading control-related projects and programs and extensive experience in risk management programs.
Holds comprehensive knowledge of the Trade business and functions, their risk profiles, and a deep understanding of Trade-related Policies, Standards, and Procedures.
Demonstrates an up-to-date understanding of key risk and control concepts, tools, and trends, coupled with strong, direct experience in regulatory engagement.
Expert in making sound judgment calls on both quantitative and qualitative issues.
Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills. Extensive experience communicating effectively with senior audiences.
A Master's Degree or specialized training in risk management, business, or engineering is highly preferred.
