About the role

  • Lead global Fund Middle Office Technology, defining and executing strategic roadmap.
  • Drive adoption of AI/ML and cloud technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Manage and mentor a globally distributed software engineering team; oversee resource allocation and performance.
  • Design system architecture, ensure quality of deliverables, and maintain documentation and controls.
  • Oversee change management, regulatory reporting implementations, disaster recovery, and testing.
  • Own end-to-end development, implementation, and support of proprietary and vendor middle office platforms (portfolio accounting, performance, compliance, OTC valuation, investor reporting, data management).
  • Partner with product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance, code reviews, and promote best practices in CI/CD, testing, and security.
  • Represent technology in client engagements and RFPs; articulate technical vision to stakeholders.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and contribute to strategic direction.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record leading large-scale technology initiatives and delivering complex software solutions.
  • Extensive experience with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, Java, C#, Go).
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data warehousing principles.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Experience integrating and leveraging AI/ML models in production is a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Fund Middle Office and post-trade services.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
