About the role

  • Provide direction, guidance and mentoring to the team to ensure Service Level Agreements are met in an effective and efficient fashion.
  • Escalate client or staffing issues to Senior Management in a timely manner.
  • Monitor KRIs and KPIs and discuss with the supervisors to propose mitigating plans around risk and resource constraints.
  • Prepare and present the materiality of portfolio risk to Senior Management, with respect to unsupported cash and position differences, as part of the sign off process.
  • Act as the point of contact for your team and collaborate with respective stakeholders across the business.
  • Lead the migration of tasks from other locations into your team, to ensure of a seamless transition, along with overseeing the conversion or launches of any new clients, as it relates to Loan holdings.
  • Actively engage in staff development and succession planning on a regular basis to ensure members of the team are working towards their goals and continuously improving in their roles.
  • Implement effective hiring strategies that attract the right candidates to the team, and actively engage in techniques that drive down attrition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master level degree.
  • 5+ years in Financial Services with at least 2 years in a management role
  • Product knowledge, Domestic, Global and OTC security markets, Fixed Income and derivative product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience mentoring and coaching staff.
  • Knowledge of Hedge or Mutual Funds.
  • Professional accounting designation is an asset.
