About the role

  • Manage updates to press kits and media assets (photos and videos, among others) for touring shows in collaboration with publicists
  • Draft press releases and other press materials
  • Following managers' and publicists' directives, reach out to and follow up with local PR agencies for RFP submissions
  • Follow up with retained local PR agencies regarding contract signing, workflows, and available PR materials related to touring shows
  • Assist publicists with booking travel for AMDs and press junkets
  • Assist in organizing premieres, including creating guest lists and helping with ticket reservations
  • Under the supervision of managers or publicists, collaborate on optimizing platforms and PR workflow tools to facilitate communications, archiving, and information sharing between publicists and the broader team. Maintain ongoing updates
  • Coordinate archiving of press coverage for touring shows on the server and weekly send the most noteworthy coverage to the corporate division PR team
  • In collaboration with the corporate web team, ensure updates related to touring shows on the Cirque du Soleil website
  • Layout, write, and prepare presentations for committees and senior management
  • Conduct research and compile information
  • Ensure updates to various files and information repositories (photos, videos, client databases)
  • Assist in preparing presentations
  • Proofread press releases
  • Research or update media and journalist lists
  • Update the press review (research and layout of the press dossier)

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications is an asset
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility and strong organizational skills
  • Availability, punctuality, and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage priorities and work in a team; initiative, discretion, autonomy, organizational skills, and diplomacy
  • Excellent communication skills
