About the role
- Lead the team in the development and implementation of a comprehensive regional strategy
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Oversee the planning and management of events such as stakeholder meetings
- Act as a spokesperson for media interviews, sponsorships, and speaking engagements
- Develop proactive media relations strategy
- Manage the regional department budget ensuring fiscal accountability
- Deliver on measurable KPIs ensuring effectiveness of promotion and education tactics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is required
- 10+ years of demonstrated strong experience in communication protocols and tools
- 5+ years’ experience of people leadership including management of two or more direct reports
- Completely fluent in both English and French (oral and written)
- Preference for candidates with a strong understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) concepts
- Strong relationship building, collaboration, team building and presentation skills
- Well-developed issues management skills
- Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
