About the role

  • Set the vision, strategy, and execution for Circle’s platform UX engineering organization
  • Lead multiple engineering teams through senior managers
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Brand, Backend Platform, Security, and Compliance leaders
  • Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for frontend platforms
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership on frontend architecture
  • Establish engineering standards for frontend quality, reliability, and performance
  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performing frontend engineering leaders and teams
  • Identify and manage UX platform risks, dependencies, and technical debt

Requirements

  • 15+ years of software engineering experience
  • 8+ years in senior technical leadership roles
  • Experience leading frontend or UX platform engineering organizations
  • Proven success managing multiple teams
  • Expertise in frontend platforms, design systems, and UI foundations
  • Strong hands-on technical background in modern frontend architectures
  • Experience delivering high-quality, accessible, user interfaces at scale
  • Ability to balance UX platform strategy with execution
  • Experience partnering with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams
  • Passion for coaching and developing leaders
  • Experience leading remote-first teams
