Development Manager

• Lead and provide oversight to the Donor Experience team responding to donor inquiries via email, phone, postal mail, and fundraising platforms.
• Research, pilot, and implement AI chatbots and tools to improve donor response times and provide 24/7 support.
• Lead proof-of-concept projects for natural language processing tools to analyze donor feedback and sentiment across channels.
• Oversee acknowledgements processing and delivery; maintain Tribute and In Honor of request responses.
• Manage individual matching gifts process and coordinate with corporate matching gifts team.
• Research and collect aging pledge commitments and coordinate with Donor Relations and Finance teams.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on processes and workflows to ensure a great donor experience.

Donor Experience Manager

Vice President

• Amplify WCK’s impact locally by building and leading a competency-driven community response strategy.
• Ensure communities are embedded in organization-led and community-led responses, aligned with WCK’s “neighbors feeding neighbors” principle.
• Oversee attraction, support, engagement, and retention of community responders and volunteers; cultivate global network of chefs, food partners, and local leaders.
• Serve as central hub for WCK’s community response teams and integrate communities into multi-participant response model.
• Lead multiple director-level functions and partner closely with Response Operations, Security, Response Support, and Response People Operations.
• Build and maintain structural framework including KMS-integrated playbooks, competency definitions, and databases for community engagement.
• Develop and manage the Response Corps, establish volunteer development pathways, and scale volunteer operations for major responses.
• Implement and support community teams and the "reservist" approach to maintain activation readiness while remaining rooted locally.

Vice President, Community Support

People Operations

• Accountable for delivering comprehensive HR support at the frontlines of WCK's globally decentralized relief operations
• Tailor and implement Global People & Culture strategies for Response context; act as both strategic and hands-on leader
• Lead people operations including employee relations, development, performance management, and compensation for Response teams and contractors
• Deployable to field operations (approximately 25% travel) and oversee 24/7 people support capabilities for global emergency response
• Partner with President, Response and Response leadership; collaborate with Global People and Culture; represent Response People needs enterprise-wide
• Own Response-specific performance and development processes in Lattice and enterprise systems; design and deliver learning programs (rapid deployment readiness, trauma-informed practices, cross-cultural competency)
• Drive HR technology adaptations and automation for rapid deployment scenarios, streamlined field onboarding, and mobile-friendly processes

Vice President, People Response

• Lead the design, implementation, and global scaling of WCK’s 24x7 omnichannel Response Support platform.
• Operationalize WCK’s principle that “we are all response”, ensuring seamless, responsive, and accountable support to field and central teams.
• Oversee the integration and day-to-day use of the Knowledge Management System (KMS) as the knowledge backbone of Response Support.
• Ensure the KMS is embedded into all tiers of support (AI Tier 0 through Tier 3) and remains current with policies, playbooks, and lessons learned.
• Integrate technologies including workflow automation, RBAC, AI/ML tools, audit trails, and monitoring systems.
• Establish and manage a global omnichannel helpdesk (on-site and virtual), delivering multilingual support across voice, chat, apps, and email.
• Oversee real-time workforce management, scheduling, time zone coverage, business continuity, and redundancy for 24x7 support.
• Build and lead a cross-functional Response Support team of technology specialists, operational leads, and monitoring analysts.
• Partner with Governance, Response Operations, Community Response, People Response, and Security to align Response Support with WCK’s global vision.

Events

• World Central Kitchen (WCK) seeks an experienced and strategic Vice President of Events to lead the vision, planning, and execution of mission-aligned events, including donor stewardship events, fundraising galas, operational field visits, community engagement activations, and high-visibility experiences featuring key partners and public figures.
• The ideal candidate is a proven event leader who excels at logistics, cross-functional coordination, and delivering exceptional experiences that align with WCK’s global mission of providing meals in response to humanitarian crises.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive event strategy that tells WCK’s story and supports WCK’s fundraising, communications, and operational goals.
• Partner with senior leadership to align events with organizational priorities, including rapid response efforts, donor engagement, and public awareness campaigns.
• Oversee the ideation, production, marketing and impact of events and activations, ensuring alignment with WCK’s evolving needs and opportunities.
• Lead the end-to-end planning of high-profile events such as fundraising galas, donor summits, site visits, and community activations.
• Manage all event editorial, marketing, logistics and follow-up including storytelling promotion, venue selection, vendor coordination, permits, run-of-show, AV/tech, catering, décor, transportation and follow up
• Ensure each event reflects WCK’s brand and values and provides an outstanding experience for attendees.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing event management team.
• Work closely with Development, Communications, Field Operations, and Executive teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution.

• Develop and manage detailed budgets for each event, ensuring cost-effective execution and strong ROI.

Vice President, Events

Supply Chain

• Activation Management: Respond within four (4) hours notice to a disaster area to act as Distribution Unit Manager, managing relief operations on the ground remotely.
• Lead and manage field teams specializing in distribution systems, mapping needs and deliveries, and meal allocation. Ensure strategic and streamlined implementation of relief activities on the ground, operationalizing WCK’s North Star values.
• Design and implement response strategies in the field that are adaptable and robust enough to function in high-stress, dynamic environments affected by natural disasters or conflicts.
• Recruit, onboard, train and manage distribution teams, including local hires and Corps members in the field.
• Consult on the scope of the response, and manage or implement distribution operations.
• Provide regular updates on operations to the Response Director to ensure ongoing, transparent information sharing across the organization.
• Collaborate with all WCK departments on the ground, or remotely to support the needs of the activation.
• Ensure smooth transitions and complete handovers with other Managers, and between Response Corps team members when rotating field teams through phases of the activation.
• Complete the After-Action Report process immediately following activation wind-down, collating and drawing learnings for process improvement.

• Distribution Operations:
• Rapidly develop and maintain effective processes for large-scale, timely and reliable delivery of meals, bulk products, food kits, and other resources to disaster-affected areas.
• Organize, map and manage dynamic distribution plans and route schedules using visual aids.
• Manage accurate and timely operational information associated with suppliers, recipients, and meal deliveries; ensuring teams have oversight and knowledge of distribution information, as needed.
• Research, recruit, onboard and manage food vendor partners (restaurants, catering companies, food trucks, etc) ensuring compliance with financial protocols and alignment with WCK culinary guidelines.
• With the Culinary Team, provides support and mentorship to food vendors to help increase their production capacity, strengthening their role as key community stakeholders.
• Review and approve supplier and fleet vendor invoices in collaboration with the Finance department.
• Manage meal distribution logistics, utilizing multiple transportation mechanisms, including but not limited to, helicopters, planes, boats, and vehicles.
• Oversee the setup and service at distribution sites, ensuring that every meal is served with dignity, compassion and quality.
• Responsible for ensuring the visibility and identification of meals as part of WCK’s response, through the appropriate use of branding materials, to promote recognition and connection with the communities being served.

• Budgeting and Logistics:
• Work with the finance team and Response Director to share cost projections for distribution operations, focusing on meal production and logistical needs.
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to source materials and supplies efficiently and ensure timely delivery to affected areas.
• Ensure the proper handling and safeguarding of organizational resources on responses.

• Personnel Management and Training:
• Recruit, onboard, train, and motivate diverse distribution teams on activation, ensuring a high-performance culture aligned with WCK’s North Star.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, training and support to team members, promoting a culture of urgency, accountability, adaptability and continuous learning within the team.
• Address personnel issues on activations in real-time, and provide regular performance feedback on Corps members.
• Support the recruitment of Corps members, and manage personnel effectively on the ground to foster growth and ensure a diverse pipeline of activation leadership.
• Identify professional development needs and gaps in distribution capabilities to arrange for appropriate training, and provide this feedback to relevant stakeholders for implementation.

• Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Build strong relationships with local communities first.
• Ensure the teams conduct outreach and engagement activities that contribute to WCK’s reputation as an effective, compassionate, and reliable relief organization.
• Represent WCK in the field, acting as an ambassador to beneficiaries, partners, and the media, as required.
