About the role
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Source and assess suppliers, products, and services to secure the best value for the organization.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and foster strong supplier relationships.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies.
- Track and report on key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.
- Collaborate with departments such as finance, operations, and logistics to meet organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field
- Preferred certifications: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply)
- 4–5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills
- Experience in vendor evaluation and contract management
- Working knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and procurement compliance standards
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with spend data, renewals, and budgeting
- Proficiency with procurement systems, purchase‑order workflows, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills
- Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, and other business stakeholders
- Nice to have: exposure to technology procurement (software, SaaS, IT‑related contracts)
