About the role
- This position is for a District Manager in our southeast territory. This position is remote, andthe candidate must live in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina or South Carolina. **The District Manager is responsible for the hiring, staffing, scheduling, and performance management of all remote field personnel within a district area to achieve and maintain all client expectations and standards. This position oversees a large team of remote based, part-time employees that represent top brands by completing client assigned continuity merchandising services, surge projects, and brand awareness activities in major retailers that sell pet products and consumer goods.**
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience managing large, remote teams strongly preferred**High School Diploma with college education and/or degree preferred. 4-6 years’ related experience and at least 2 years direct supervisory experience required
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace skills desired
- Proven ability to work independently and supervise direct reports with confidence
- Planning/organizing—the individual is a highly motivated self-starter who demonstrates effective time management skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities seamlessly with heavy workload at times
- Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates strong group presentation skills and ability to conduct virtual meetings
- Written Communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively, and is able to read and interpret written information. Excellent proofreading skills a must.
- Quality control—the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
- Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance
- Safety and security—the individual actively promotes and observes safety and security protocols, and follows company policies and procedures
- Ability in finding creative and innovative solutions to solve issues and day-to-day challenges
- Superior interpersonal, analytical, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, decision-making and conflict resolution skills
- Experience within the pet, consumer goods, or sales and marketing industries helpful
- Fluency working with web based technology platforms (basic smart device skills) and working knowledge of SaaS interfaces helpful
- Ability to travel in the field as needed with occasional overnight travel. Must have a clean driving record and minimum state mandated insurance coverage & liability limits.
