About the role
- Manage the physical and electronic MRO spare parts inventory and stored materials to support the refinery.
- Manage inventory levels; manage the Cycle Count and Repairable & Refurbishment Materials Programs while monitoring the accuracy of the Warehouse Inventory System.
- Oversee operation of computerized inventory software systems.
- Manage Positive Material Identification (PMI) and receipt inspection program.
- Regular review of warehouse space and placement of stocks.
- Initiate purchase requests to keep stock items available for refinery support.
- Assist in the development and potential amendments to warehouse procedures.
- Supervise warehouse personnel consisting of bargaining, non-bargaining, and seasonal/temporary employees.
- Manage site specific logistics program for inbound and outbound freight, including standard and IATA/49CFR Dangerous Goods movements, and annual financial audit of 3rd party logistic partnership.
- Participate in the development and management of warehouse operation expenses and capital budgets.
- Manage warehouse facility preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment.
- Collaborate with the McPherson, KS, Refinery Warehouse for continuous efficiency and improvement processes.
- Collaborate with various other departments to ensure storage and availability as material needs arise.
- Assist in the development and amendments to safety procedures to ensure compliance with requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act; supervise activities to ensure such requirements are complied with.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of relevant warehouse or inventory management experience
- Experience with inventory management systems (preferably SAP)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and other basic electronic data management systems
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or technical school (additional qualification)
- 5+ years’ relevant warehouse or inventory management experience (additional qualification)
- Supervisory experience (additional qualification)
- IATA/CFR49 Dangerous Goods Certification (additional qualification)
- Material Verification Program API PR 578 (additional qualification)
