About the role

  • Serve as the commercial contact for existing customers and prospect new clients.
  • Build relationships across multiple customer hierarchy levels (e.g., owners, directors, managers, buyers, technical staff).
  • Position the company as the preferred partner, not just a supplier, increasing customer loyalty and retention.
  • Work together with the origination team to explore synergies and open customer accounts, engage with processes, and foster Barter operations.
  • Be able to navigate internal and external administrative areas to deliver an excellent level of service to customers and business partners.
  • Collaborate with the credit, logistics, and operational planning teams.
  • Monitor competitors (prices, strategy, product launches), market trends, and movements of customers and agricultural groups.
  • Provide weekly market insights to CHS leadership on market conditions, opportunities, and risks.
  • Be prepared to develop campaigns, build tools, or introduce innovations that meet the needs of customers and CHS to drive market growth.
  • Provide information and support to the supply team, ensuring alignment with organizational and operational objectives.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: establish and maintain close and transparent relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring long-term partnerships and integrity in negotiations.
  • Contribute to and implement improvements in systems and quality tools to mitigate process gaps and enhance operational efficiency that delivers results and improves commercial effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Languages: Intermediate English proficiency
  • Tools: Advanced Microsoft Office; experience using CRM and Power BI
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related fields. Postgraduate degree/MBA in Commercial Management, Agribusiness, or Finance preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience in fertilizer sales and grain origination, preferably in multinational agribusiness companies.
  • Technical Competencies: Deep knowledge of the Brazilian agricultural market, including crop cycle dynamics, logistics, and pricing. Advanced negotiation skills and relationship management with producers and suppliers. Analytical ability to interpret market data and make strategic decisions.
