About the role
- Provide legal and project-related tax advice to a client base in the nonprofit (NPO) sector
- Handle projects of varying sizes, e.g., establishment of subsidiaries
- Prepare legal opinions, position papers and solution proposals
- Draft articles of association, rules of procedure and contracts (in particular cooperation agreements)
- Assess and review complex legal and tax matters
- Exchange feedback in regular status meetings (jour fixe) with partners and the rest of the legal department
Requirements
- Admitted to the bar
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant professional experience in a law firm environment
- Ideally holds a specialist attorney qualification or a dual qualification as a tax advisor
- Familiarity with charitable status (nonprofit law) and tax law
- Ability to explain and convey complex contractual structures
- Experience in direct client contact
- Committed with a professional and personable manner
- Team-oriented, independent, structured and detail-oriented
