About the role

  • Own the full performance and health of your client portfolio
  • Be responsible for retention, upsells, cross-sells, and expansion opportunities
  • Identify risks early and proactively act to prevent churn
  • Partner with Sales and Leadership on renewals, scope changes, and growth opportunities
  • Ensure the portfolio grows sustainably, not at the expense of delivery quality or margins
  • Act as the single point of accountability for all client communication
  • Lead monthly reviews, strategic calls, quarterly planning, and performance deep dives
  • Manage difficult conversations, expectations, feedback, and escalations confidently
  • Translate business objectives into clear strategies and execution plans
  • Represent Chili as a senior strategic partner, not a vendor
  • Lead and manage your full squad (SEO, PPC, Content, CRO, BI)
  • Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, KPI tracking, and development planning
  • Ensure team members understand priorities, standards, and expectations
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training, certifications, and coaching plans
  • Participate in hiring decisions and performance-based team changes when needed
  • Drive accountability while maintaining a high-performance, healthy team culture
  • Own cost efficiency for your portfolio, including: Team capacity and allocation, Hiring and firing budget alignment, Tool and subscription usage, AI tools and internal project costs
  • Ensure delivery is profitable, scalable, and aligned with agreed scopes
  • Flag inefficiencies and propose structural improvements
  • Own all timelines, milestones, and quality standards for your portfolio
  • Ensure campaigns and projects are delivered on time, on scope, and at Chili quality level
  • Use ClickUp (or equivalent) to manage workflows, dependencies, and visibility
  • Ensure SOPs are followed and improved when gaps are identified
  • Balance speed and quality in a fast-paced, multi-client environment
  • Understand performance across SEO, Paid Media, CRO, and funnels at a strategic level
  • Use data to guide decisions, prioritisation, and client conversations
  • Ensure reporting is clear, honest, and tied to business outcomes
  • Work closely with BI to improve dashboards, transparency, and insights

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a senior Account Manager, Client Partner, or Client Services Lead role (agency experience required)
  • Strong understanding of SEO, Paid Media (Google, Meta), CRO, and funnel strategy
  • Proven experience managing client portfolios with revenue responsibility
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience (1:1s, performance reviews, development plans)
  • Experience with project management tools (ClickUp preferred; Asana, Monday, Trello acceptable)
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience in upselling, cross-selling, and value positioning
  • Advanced English (mandatory) — daily communication with international clients
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised, resilient, and able to perform under pressure
  • Comfortable multitasking and making decisions in a fast-moving environment.
