Organize and direct assigned resources including people, equipment, and supplies that support provision of care
Assist the Manager to ensure smooth function of the department
Maintain excellent working knowledge of all respiratory care policies and procedures
Work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment
Provide overall coordination and delivery of illness management and health promotion for patients and families in assigned areas (Critical Care ICN, PICU and ED areas, UCC, medical/surgical units, and/or Outpatient Clinics)
Establish respiratory processes using scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate respiratory care
Provide educational development, student experiential rotations, research, quality improvement and assurance, and act as a liaison with medical staff and all other hospital personnel
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other Clinical Supervisors and multidisciplinary team
Coordinate PTO/vacation with night shift clinical supervisor to ensure consistent leadership presence
Requirements
Associate's Degree required and 3-5 years experience
Bachelor's Degree preferred and required within 2 years of start date and 3-5 years experience
Licensed Respiratory Therapist MO
Licensed Respiratory Therapist KS
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Certified Neonatal Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (must obtain within 180 days) or equivalent
RRT Registered Respiratory Therapist
PALS, NRP & BLS are required upon hire
Employees must be willing to be vaccinated for influenza and possibly MMR, varicella, Tdap if non-immune or lacking records
