About the role
- Build a technology partner ecosystem with widely adopted integrations that increase Chainguard’s product adoption and expands market reach
- Identify and prioritize high impact partners that complement Chainguard’s platform direction and deliver meaningful value to shared customers
- Develop deep relationships with partner decision makers and build alignment on business objectives for win win outcomes
- Build the partnership business case, including clear success metrics, investment requirements, and commercial economics, and use data driven and qualitative insights to drive internal decisions
- Partner with internal stakeholders including Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to launch, scale, and measure joint offerings
- Influence product and engineering priorities by bringing market data, partner insights, and customer needs that support partnership opportunities
- Create repeatable co sell motions with partners, including account mapping, field engagement, and joint pipeline plans
- Develop enablement and playbooks so sales teams and partner teams know how to position, package, and win together
- Track and report performance across adoption, pipeline influence, and partner sourced opportunities, then iterate based on what is working
Requirements
- 8 plus years in strategic partnerships, technology partnerships, product partnerships, alliances, or ecosystem roles in security, cloud, infrastructure, or developer tooling
- Proven ability to source and close strategic partnerships and scale them through repeatable programs
- Strong business and financial judgment, comfortable building a partnership business case and aligning stakeholders on economics and tradeoffs
- Technical fluency to lead product and integration conversations, ask the right questions, and translate technical constraints into clear partner plans, without needing to be the technical owner
- Strong cross functional leadership and executive presence, you can drive outcomes through influence and clarity
- Creative operator mindset, you run experiments, build new plays, and learn fast
- Team player energy, you build trust, share context early, and make the broader team better
- Nice to have: Experience in software supply chain security, container security, vulnerability management, SBOM, or adjacent ecosystems
- Nice to have: Experience partnering with major security platforms, DevOps tooling providers, or cloud marketplaces
- Nice to have: Experience in a high growth startup environment
