Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load trading and market data from multiple source systems into enterprise data platforms
Configure and integrate enterprise data systems to ensure seamless data flow and optimal performance of analytical and surveillance models
Apply deep knowledge of financial markets—including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives—to ensure accurate data mapping and transformation
Implement frameworks to validate and monitor data completeness and accuracy, reducing false positives and maintaining data integrity
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to enhance performance, introduce automation, and drive efficiency improvements
Investigate and resolve complex data issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide production system support
Partner with compliance, risk, trading, and technology teams to improve data flows and surveillance effectiveness
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including data lineage, mappings, and ETL processes
Requirements
6–9 years of ETL development or data engineering experience
Strong understanding of market data, trading systems, and financial instruments
Proven ability to design and optimize large-scale, complex ETL pipelines
Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or C#
Hands-on experience with SQL Server or Oracle, plus familiarity with Spark or Hadoop
Experience with platforms like TradingHub, Actimize, or SMARTS is preferred
Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex data and production issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction across technical and business teams
Understanding of market abuse regulations and compliance requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
