About the role

  • Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for electric overhead transmission projects
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues across critical electric transmission initiatives
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable, cost-effective, and future-ready grid solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff working on electric overhead transmission and power delivery projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; previous transmission engineer experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office required; AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with clients on a regular basis
