About the role
- Oversee the full lifecycle of gas engineering projects—from scoping and proposal development to scheduling, budgeting, and quality management
- Prepare proposals, project plans, project schedules, extra work authorizations, submittals, and project closeout documents to ensure on-time, compliant project delivery
- Play a key role in client contract interpretation and relationship management by serving as the primary client contact, resolving issues, anticipating needs, and ensuring alignment across all project phases
- Manage project financials, including forecasting, cash flow, resource allocation, and subcontractor payments
- Act as a “seller/doer,” developing work with specific clients and leading marketing plan development for target market areas
- Lead and mentor other Project Managers, setting vision and strategy, and supporting professional growth across the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management or a related field is required
- Minimum of 11 years of industry experience required; minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and interpreting client contract requirements
- Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required
- Proven ability to manage project accounting processes (budgeting, forecasts, cash management)
- Ability to solve problems with urgency and independently drive initiatives from concept to completion while overseeing multiple projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferred
- Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments required
- Consulting industry experience and/or experience managing client relationships with investor-owned utilities highly preferred
- Ability to travel as needed required
- PMP certification, PE or equivalent professional license preferred
