About the role
- Build a comprehensive design system for the website, including typography, color systems, icons, layout grids, spacing rules, components, states, interactions, and responsive behavior.
- Partner closely with web engineers to ensure components, patterns, and design system elements translate cleanly into production-ready HTML/CSS within our Figma → code workflow.
- Translate brand guidelines and design principles into reusable Figma components, tokens, and documentation that scale across teams.
- Define and maintain design tokens (color, spacing, typography, elevation) to support consistency and scalability across the design system.
- Support high-fidelity page design for new templates and page layouts, ensuring visual cohesion across the entire site.
- Create annotated designs and documentation for engineering handoff, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Document component usage, interaction patterns, and responsive behaviors to help designers and engineers work consistently and efficiently.
- Ensure accessibility best practices (WCAG) are baked into components, patterns, and page designs.
- Participate in design reviews, iterate quickly based on feedback, and help elevate design quality across the team.
- Support QA reviews, validating implementation fidelity and consistency with the design system.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX/UI, creative, brand, engineering, and marketing partners to bring the new website vision to life.
- Support ongoing UX/UI project work for marketing and web stakeholders, including landing pages, campaign assets, user flows, and other high-impact web requests.
Requirements
- 6+ years of web design, ideally with marketing websites or SaaS environments.
- Strong mastery of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and design tokens.
- Experience contributing to or building a design system
- Deep understanding of accessibility, responsive design, and UX best practices.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS or design-to-development workflows.
- Ability to synthesize direction and iterate quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
- A keen eye for visual detail, layout consistency, and scalable design patterns.
