About the role
- Provide database administration support including security, schema and stored procedures, indexes, maintenance jobs, and SQL report design
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 environments and apply optimization best practices
- Create and maintain databases in clustered server environments and design/maintain data models
- Implement data lake, data warehouse and data mart solutions and integrate with legacy infrastructure
- Implement database redundancy and high availability (mirroring, log shipping) and manage backup/recovery
- Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Upgrade SQL Servers, develop reports using SSRS, and set up reporting servers
- Responsible for all DBA functions and report development within software systems architecture and design
Requirements
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 (security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, maintenance jobs)
- Knowledge of SQL Server performance optimization and best practices
- Experience creating and maintaining databases in Clustered Server environments
- Expert knowledge of design, development, and maintenance of data models
- Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures, metadata and data modeling, data flow, ER diagrams, schema architectures, and query languages
- Experience with database redundancy/high availability (mirroring, log shipping), backup and recovery for SQL Server 2019/2022
- Experience facilitating migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Experience upgrading SQL Server versions and creating reports using SSRS
- Experience setting up reporting servers and performing DBA functions and report development
- Top Secret Clearance required
