About the role
- Provide database administration support for legal accounts and company portfolio
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 including security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, reports, and maintenance jobs
- Create and maintain databases in a Clustered Server environment and apply best practices for database optimization
- Apply data architecture knowledge (data lakes, data warehouse, data mart, metadata, data modeling, ER diagrams, schema architectures) to integrate solutions with legacy infrastructure
- Implement database redundancy and high availability (mirroring, log shipping) and ensure full backup and recovery
- Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure and upgrade SQL Server versions
- Setup reporting servers and develop reports using SSRS; handle all DBA functions and report development
Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance (required)
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022
- Setting up security, creating tables, indexes, stored procedures
- Designing SQL reports and creating maintenance jobs
- Best practices for optimizing databases
- Creating and maintaining databases in a Clustered Server environment
- Expert knowledge of design, development and maintenance of various data models
- Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures, metadata and data modeling, data flow, entity relationship diagram, schema architectures and query languages
- Experience with mirroring database servers, log shipping, redundancy and high availability
- Full backup and recovery capabilities for Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022
- Experience facilitating migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Upgrading SQL Servers from lower versions to SQL Server 2019 and up
- Creating reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Setting up a reporting server and performing DBA functions and report development
