About the role
- Provide database administration support for legal discovery systems and company portfolio
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 environments including security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, reports, and maintenance jobs
- Create and maintain databases in Clustered Server environments and apply data model best practices
- Integrate data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts with legacy infrastructure using metadata and data modeling
- Implement redundancy, high availability, mirroring, log shipping, and full backup/recovery strategies
- Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure and upgrade SQL Servers to latest versions
- Setup reporting servers and develop reports using SSRS; be responsible for DBA functions and report development
Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance Required
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022: setting up security, creating tables, indexes, stored procedures, designing SQL reports, creating maintenance jobs
- Apply best practices for optimizing databases
- Create and maintain databases in a Clustered Server environment
- Expert knowledge of design, development and maintenance of various data models and their components
- Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures, metadata and data modeling, data flow, entity relationship diagram, schema architectures and query languages
- Implement database redundancy and high availability: mirroring, log shipping, backup and recovery for SQL Server 2019 and 2022
- Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Upgrade SQL Servers from lower versions to 2019+ and create reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Setup a reporting server and perform all DBA functions and report development utilizing Software Systems development Architecture and Design
