About the role

  • Develop and execute a branch sales strategy within the framework of the Bank’s overall strategy and operational objectives
  • Develop and maintain a network within the community to enhance the visibility of the Bank and build a strong referral source for new business
  • Manage customer experience from beginning to end
  • Initiate conversations with customers to create needs based sales opportunities
  • Assist customers in opening accounts and preparing consumer loan applications
  • Train branch staff to recognize needs based sales opportunities
  • Create a culture of consistent excellent customer service within the Branch
  • Plan and oversee outbound sales calls by branch employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required
  • 3 to 5 years of business development experience and proven leadership capabilities required
  • Ability to lead by example and project the vision and image of Centreville Bank
  • Extensive knowledge of current banking environment procedures and regulations
  • Ability to coach, manage staff and lead sales activities
  • Extensive knowledge of Bank products, services, policies and procedures
  • Ability to multitask
  • Registered as a mortgage loan originator with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Expected to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to travel from branch to branch to work at any Centreville Bank location
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
