About the role
- imaging and secure configuration of endpoints devices and related systems to ensure stability, reliability and consistent performance.
- supports and manages solutions and applications for modern management of endpoints (windows and mac workstations, mobile devices, digital clocks, asset tracking sensors, digital identity devices).
- implement and maintain efficient automated client support systems (e.g., device management, os & application security updates, automated application installations, remote support systems).
- install, configure, test and maintain endpoint system management tools as well as other applications that interact with endpoints such as microsoft defender and digital identity (imprivata).
- engaged in solving highly complex technical issues, both independently as well as with collaboration with colleagues and vendors.
- recommend standard configurations to optimize performance, develop and maintain knowledge base and endpoint system configuration documentation.
- record requests, issues, and solutions using service ticketing software and perform change management duties.
- provide technology advice and recommendations as needed and as required by the organization.
- design, develop and build enterprise-wide windows operating system image using sccm technology.
- design, deploy and administer solutions for modern management of endpoints and applications, including autopilot and autopatch making sure there is no impact to the end user.
- support platform software upgrades, workstation patching/compliance, and application delivery.
- engage in the continuous improvement of endpoint administration including automation, monitoring, patching, etc. by applying industry standards and best practices.
- participate in a variety of projects requiring technical expertise and project management skills.
- utilize and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and tools for optimal endpoint operations
- communicate with leadership and other staff regarding initiatives and provide timely updates.
- document, implement, and adapt procedures, standards, and guidelines consistent with changing needs and strategic objectives.
- apply information security concepts, principles, and practices.
- deploy configuration changes as needed to maintain a secure computing environment.
- assist with hardware model evaluation and selection to support minimum system requires to stay within supported operating system versions.
- collaborate with other is teams and vendors to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- make recommendations to the overall architecture of the applications and tools supported to enhance and improve their use.
Requirements
- bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field. candidate holding an associate’s degree must have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- demonstrated proficiency or experience with endpoint operating systems (windows, mac, ios, android), the microsoft 365 product suite, and endpoint management platforms (mobileiron, jamf, sccm, microsoft intune/endpoint configuration manager, defender).
- ability to demonstrate systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- ability to approach change management based on understanding of the impacts to end users and other IT systems.
- advanced proficiency with scripting languages (such as powershell).
- strong understanding of policies to configure windows (active directory gpos), macos and mobile operating systems.
- strong understanding of security practices such as device encryption, anti-virus and threat detection, and digital certificates.
- working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as dns, dhcp, firewall, and vpn.
- familiarity with microsoft entra id is greatly desired.
