About the role
- Responsible for the financial data analytic needs of the organization.
- Use a combination of financial analysis tools and techniques and data analysis tools to generate, analyze, report, and interpret financial and other data used across the organization.
- Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations.
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensure financial information has been recorded accurately.
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to senior management.
- Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
- Support business initiatives through data analysis, identification of implementation barriers, and user acceptance testing of various systems.
- Diagnose problems and identify opportunities for process redesign and improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience.
- Experience with financial analysis focused on month end close, government reporting, and financial forecasting.
- Experience writing SQL queries is highly preferred.
- Healthcare or managed care data analytics experience is preferred.
- Strong process documentation skillset preferred.
- Candidate must live near Long Island City, NY and attend occasional office meetings in Long Island City, NY office.
