About the role
- responsible for negotiating agreements with integrated healthcare delivery systems, hospitals, ancillary providers, physicians and physician groups
- accountable for ensuring effective implementation of new and renewing contracts through communication and coordination with other functional areas
- create, negotiate and incorporate contract amendments, renegotiate the contract to accommodate scope changes or changes in organization requirements
- monitor provider contracts to ensure terms and conditions are met
- perform necessary analysis of cost and utilization data in addition to the analysis of the financial and operational impact of contractual proposals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in health care setting at a payer, hospital, provider relations, provider contracting, health plan operations, or health care/medical office environment preferred
- May require US citizenship and current security clearance
