About the role
- Manages the technical approach and decisions as it relates to the configuration of software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform.
- Manages cloud infrastructure as code.
- Automates deployment and administration.
- Develops plan to ensure security of cloud components.
- Partners with the DevOps team to spearhead and lead upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations.
- Leads projects and teams of cloud engineers who build and support the administration of cloud-based environments.
- Establishes and develops code-based CI/CD deployment standards and best-practices.
- Leads and directs the implementation of monitoring solutions for cloud environments.
- Articulates platform infrastructure best practices based on expert knowledge.
- Mentors and impacts operational and build teams to construct testing and implementation strategies.
- Ensures execution and completion of capacity plans.
- Leads the development and implementation of design, build, and deploy cloud applications.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 6 – 8 years of related experience.
- One or more of the following skills are desired: Deep knowledge of cloud virtualization and compute technologies. AWS EC2 & Lambda, Kubernetes System Engineering
