About the role
- Purchase products, negotiating and complying with company-set prices and conducting daily market price quotations;
- Negotiate and execute master agreements with key suppliers;
- Source and evaluate new product and service suppliers;
- Plan and define media and promotional channels - flyers, newspapers, TV, radio and point-of-sale (POS) activities;
- Negotiate promotional offers and promotional investments;
- Monitor orders to ensure delivery within established deadlines;
- Verify product quality and assess the credibility/reliability of the product manufacturer/supplier to be procured;
- Prepare and analyze competitive comparison charts (bid maps) with supplier proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Negotiation experience in the fresh produce (hortifruti) category
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of food retail
