About the role
- Lead credit analysis and underwriting of leveraged finance loans, including due diligence, risk evaluation, deal structuring, and preparing credit approval requests
- Manage a portfolio of leveraged finance loans and investor facilities (NAV, Secondaries, Participations), monitoring performance, covenants, and reporting potential credit deterioration
- Act as first-level escalation for documentation/closing and servicing issues and collaborate with operations to ensure consistency with approved terms
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing customer service and resolving issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve portfolio performance
- Stay updated with market trends and regulatory changes to ensure portfolio alignment with industry standards and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or equivalent preferred)
- Demonstrated experience underwriting leveraged finance cash flow-based loan structures
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and credit analysis
- Completion of a formal credit training program preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in banking, specifically in underwriting and portfolio management of leveraged finance loans
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, risk management, and loan structuring
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and related software
- Ability to read, write, and understand fluent English
- Ability to travel to Salt Lake City for mandatory meetings and commute to office as required
