About the role
- Maintain and develop sales of the Specialty Industrial Chemicals business group
- Manage and further develop an existing customer base
- Prepare and analyze sales budgets to achieve financial objectives and explain variances
- Collaborate and work within a team environment
- Provide written reports on sales and development activities
- Manage inventory levels to support business
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Sales/Marketing, Chemistry or related field
- 3-5+ years of commercial/technical sales experience in a chemicals manufacturing/distribution or trading company preferred
- Technical knowledge of specialty chemicals and/or established networks in the target industries is a plus
- Must be self-motivated and possess an “entrepreneurial” spirit
- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledgeable about import/export practices is a plus
- Ability to negotiate prices and contract terms with customers and suppliers
- Understand overall market conditions and anticipate/project future trends
