About the role
- Develop new electrical systems/circuits for various applications
- Research system ideas and draw up plans and specifications
- Test, simulate, validate and qualify systems
- Provide support throughout manufacturing
- Work in cross-functional teams with designers, customers, and manufacturing engineering
- Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design, and simulations
Requirements
- 4+ years in power electronics engineering
- Considered a Subject Matter Expert in the area of power design
- Deep knowledge of DC/DC power topologies and tradeoffs
- Experienced in designing power systems for networking, compute, or storage products
- Experienced in high current, high-phase count designs for ASICs and GPUs
- Experienced in PCB stack-up, power planes, and tools used to simulate voltage gradients
- Familiarity with schematic capture and CAD layout tools
- Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE and LTSPICE
- Knowledge of high-density power modules and Vertical Power Delivery
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present to various audiences effectively
