About the role
- Verify eligibility and benefits to acquire insurance authorizations prior to Transplant-related procedures.
- Assist with patient billing inquiries, and insurance denial and reimbursement queries.
- Monitor changes in regulations regarding payer reimbursement practices.
- Provide financial counseling to patients and families.
- Provide support to Finance Leads and Associate Director with data analysis projects.
- Create and maintain databases to manage information for the department.
- Generate reports from medical databases and CS Link data warehouse.
- Perform daily reconciliation of hospital billing charges.
Requirements
- Transplant experience highly preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree/College diploma preferred with courses in business, accounting, and computer science.
- Two years in finance or equivalent office experience strongly preferred.
