About the role

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with mortgage lenders, real estate brokerages, and financial institutions
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective partners to expand Cedar’s national footprint
  • Drive engagement and deal flow through outreach, presentations, and follow-up efforts that convert interest into live partnerships
  • Present Cedar’s homeownership model to senior and C-suite executives at partner organizations
  • Lead partnership discussions that communicate value and establish long-term alignment
  • Represent Cedar at industry conferences, associations, and events to build awareness and relationships
  • Manage the full partner lifecycle from first contact through activation and ongoing success
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales Ops, Marketing, and Legal to ensure seamless partner integration
  • Deliver training sessions and provide partner-specific materials to support origination and marketing of Cedar transactions
  • Serve as the main liaison between partners and internal teams
  • Gather and share field insights to improve partner tools, collateral, and processes
  • Contribute to strategic planning and market expansion initiatives with the executive team

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development within the mortgage, real estate, title, or financial services industries
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage landscape, including lending channels, origination workflows, and industry dynamics
  • Experience selling to mortgage and real estate professionals
  • Proven success in outbound sales, cold outreach, and pipeline development
  • Familiarity with Conventional, FHA, VA, and Non-QM loan products
  • Understanding of real estate and mortgage regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
  • Strong grasp of how real estate transactions work and each party’s role throughout the process
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Comfortable in a metric-driven, high-activity sales environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-up discipline, and CRM management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern sales tools
  • Self-starter with grit, energy, and resilience who stays motivated under pressure
