About the role

  • Modeling and building dashboards in Power BI (data modeling layers, DAX, visualization UX, performance);
  • Data preparation and processing (extraction, cleaning, transformation) from spreadsheets, HR systems and, in the future, the data lake;
  • Definition and maintenance of HR metrics and KPIs (e.g., headcount, turnover, absenteeism, time-to-hire, diversity, internal mobility, engagement);
  • Automation of routines (report updates, data pipelines, schedules/gateway);
  • Data quality & governance: ensure dataset consistency, data dictionary, lineage and access controls;
  • Exploratory and statistical analyses (trends, correlations, segmentations, cohorts, basic tests);
  • Data storytelling: translate insights for executive audiences and HR/business stakeholders;
  • Partner with IT/Data Engineering to specify and consume data lake layers (datasets, schemas, partitions, security).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • Advanced Excel: PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas (INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, array formulas), handling large datasets;
  • Power Automate: building and automating flows in Microsoft environments;
  • Power BI: Modeling (star schemas, relationships, measures and calculated columns); intermediate/advanced DAX (CALCULATE, FILTER, row and filter context, time intelligence); Power Query/M for ETL; parameters and custom functions; Performance (cardinality reduction, incremental refresh, measure optimization); Publishing, Gateway, row-level security (RLS), and workspace governance;
  • Intermediate SQL: JOINs, CTEs, subqueries, aggregations, window functions (ROW_NUMBER, SUM OVER), best practices for queries intended for Power BI consumption;
  • Python for data wrangling (pandas) and integration with HR APIs/SaaS;
  • Data fundamentals: dimensional modeling (fact/dimension), data quality, lineage, metadata;
  • Applied statistics: sampling, correlation, simple linear regression, basic A/B tests, measures of dispersion;
  • Data storytelling: visualization best practices (visual readability, appropriate chart choice, labels, colors, accessibility);
  • Documentation best practices: metrics dictionary, glossary, update playbooks, versioning;
  • Analytical and critical thinking, clear communication with non-technical audiences, autonomy and organization, collaborative teamwork with a focus on impact, ethics and confidentiality.
