About the role

  • Architecture & Pre-Sales: Assist in technical pre-sales engagements, collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and translate them into data and AI solution architectures. Develop and present solution proposals, technical designs, and ROI analyses. Conduct technical deep-dives and workshops; utilize rapid prototyping and PoC development.
  • End-to-End Data Solution Delivery: Design, develop, and implement scalable data pipelines on AWS/Azure leveraging Snowflake/Databricks; lead development and operationalization of ML models; drive adoption; ensure data quality and governance; apply DevOps/MLOps for production deployment.
  • Client Relationship & Advisory: Serve as primary technical contact; translate insights into actionable business recommendations; nurture client relationships; maximize billable utilization and identify upsell opportunities.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior members; contribute to knowledge base; stay current on data engineering, cloud computing, and AI trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, data science, or forward-deployed engineering roles within a professional services or consulting environment, with a proven track record of billable client engagements.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and PySpark for designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake and Databricks, including large-scale data migrations and complex data processing.
  • Deep proficiency with AWS or Azure cloud platforms and related data/AI services (AWS S3, Glue, Redshift, SageMaker; Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Azure ML).
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with ML algorithms, model development, validation, deployment with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn.
  • Ability to translate complex business problems into data/AI solutions and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with DevOps/MLOps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Preferred qualifications include cloud certifications, GenAI/LLM experience, and prior billable consulting experience.
