About the role

  • Provide compassionate, caring and effective psychotherapy using research-based treatments like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Positive Psychology, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness Meditation
  • Provide psychological assessment and treatment to clients of all ages
  • Offer individual, couple and family therapy as well as groups such as CBT for anxiety and depression and mindful living programs

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing services to a wide range of clients
  • Availability to work at least two days per week (minimum 12 clients, ideally 15-25)
  • Training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and other therapeutic approaches (DBT, EFT, ACT, CFT, TF-CBT, client-centred, psychodynamic, mindfulness)
  • Documentation (e.g., progress notes, report/letter writing)
  • Knowledge of issues relating to children, adolescents, elderly and experience working with couples and groups not required but an asset
  • Excellent communication (written & verbal); a second language is an asset
  • Interested in continued learning to be up to date with latest developments in the field
  • Not interested in opening your own private practice for at least the next 3 years
