About the role
- Work directly with clients and their external audit firms to lead and manage technical accounting advisory projects, covering areas such as revenue recognition (ASC 606), equity transactions, debt arrangements, business combinations, lease accounting (ASC 842), financial reporting, and SEC reporting
- Serve as the primary client contact, managing engagements, fostering strong relationships, and proactively addressing client needs
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the client’s business and identify high-risk accounting areas
- Oversee and manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communications to ensure successful outcomes
- Generate written components of various reports/deliverables related to engagements
- Efficiently research technical accounting topics as it pertains to the engagement
- Train, mentor, and develop staff and senior staff members, promoting a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth
- Identify and implement technology solutions and tools to streamline processes and enhance workflow efficiency
- Actively participate in thought leadership initiatives, contributing to internal knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement activities
- Supporting business development efforts through client relationships and networking
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 6 years of experience in related field
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Must have and preserve required licenses
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Proficient use of applicable technology
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
