About the role
- Actively manage a team of data professionals to achieve strategic priorities and performance goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to standardize, promote, and evangelize the responsible and ethical use of data needed to improve the firm's performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert of our enterprise-class data warehouse and analytics solution.
- Leverage our data to support performance initiatives.
- Assist with the build, development, and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Drive data initiatives and efforts to improve firm-wide decision-making.
- Partner with the Information Security and Data Protection teams to implement controls, policies, and standards that meet organizational expectations while still complying with regulatory requirements.
- Present operational updates, issues, and proposals to directors and executive leadership on a regular basis.
- Help govern and support a culture that manages data as an enterprise asset.
- Cultivate, foster, and maintain positive working relationships with data-centric user and peer groups.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement on the team.
Requirements
- College Degree or equivalent required
- 10 years related experience
- Must have experience managing staff, projects and/or processes
- Possesses subject matter expertise
- Knowledge of industry regulations
- Ability to manage a team of others
- Ability to formulate new policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
- Ability to travel as required by business and on-call availability
