About the role
- Responsible for planning, executing, and managing projects from initiation to completion while meeting specific goals, timelines, and budgets
- Drive collaboration, manage resources effectively, and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and refine project scope, objectives, and timelines
- Create detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide execution
- Define resource requirements and allocate assets effectively
- Assist in day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with established plans
- Monitor project milestones and adjust plans as needed
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality deliverables in time
- Serve as a liaison between clients, team members, and senior leaders
- Facilitate regular meetings and communication to address project concerns or updates
- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts efficiently
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize disruptions
- Resolve issues promptly and escalate critical concerns to leadership when necessary
- Establish contingency plans to prepare for unforeseen challenges
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations
- Continuously assess project performance against key metrics
- Prepare and deliver project status reports, including financial performance, schedule updates, and risk analyses
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities and decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s-level degree from a recognized college or university
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Project Manager project experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools on IT projects
- At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing diverse technical and management services to government agencies
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail
- Ability to analyze systems and procedures
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
