About the role
- Provide direction and technical guidance to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead system architecture design, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability of technology solutions.
- Analyze business and technical requirements, translating them into effective and innovative technical designs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of technical frameworks, prototypes, and systems integrations.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with organizational objectives and project goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure smooth technical delivery.
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all deliverables meet quality assurance requirements, including functionality, performance, and security.
- Promote the use of modern tools and techniques to optimize productivity and effectiveness.
- Proactively identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and issues to reduce project delays.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, define technical objectives, and communicate progress.
- Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business stakeholder expectations.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend adoption of tools and practices to improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on trends in technology and ensure technical deliverables remain cutting-edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s-level degree from a recognized college or university in an IT-related or Engineering field
- Alternatively, qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis
- If no degree is obtained, 9 years of experience is required
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience aligning IT systems with organizational business processes.
- At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively complex experience and intermediate-level skill in analysis, design, programming, and testing.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience developing, testing or maintaining large management information applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze systems and procedures
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
