Summarize public speeches and other presentations
Conduct historical research
Help run the department’s social media accounts
Support the administrative and organizational needs of the foreign and defense team.
Requirements
A master’s degree in political science, international relations, or history is preferred, but extraordinary candidates with lesser qualifications will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
Applicants should have a passionate interest in US foreign policy, ideally with the desire to become foreign-policy scholars themselves.
An understanding of and interest in Cato’s mission.
Strong reading, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to reduce large and complex texts to dense summaries.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to work on multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team on a time-sensitive basis.
Strong verbal communication and the ability to present work publicly in front of groups.
