About the role
- Oversee daily operations of three shelter programs, ensuring safe, effective, and client-centered service delivery
- Develop, implement, and evaluate program strategies aligned with agency mission and contract requirements
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability
- Monitor expenditures, contracts, and funding requirements
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including housing and social service standards
- Directly supervise program managers, supervisors, and frontline staff
- Support professional development and leadership growth within the team
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with housing providers, healthcare organizations, and social service networks
- Represent Good Shepherd Center at community meetings, coalitions, and public events
- Participate in grant development, fundraising efforts, and contract management
- Ensure services are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and equitable
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field
- 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in social services or homeless programs
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or related licensure (preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of homeless services systems, trauma-informed care, government contract and budget management.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities effectively
- Knowledge of HMIS (Homeless Management Information System)
- Experience working with women, children, and survivors of trauma or domestic violence
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and virtual meeting platforms
