About the role
- Provide front-line technical support to dealers and sales teams for packaged generator set products (LV & MV).
- Lead product sizing, selection, and application engineering for generator systems.
- Develop technical proposals and respond to RFPs and tenders.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to customers and consultants.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend tailored solutions.
- Respond to dealer inquiries on Electric Power products, from basic to complex.
- Develop quotations for custom solutions beyond standard offerings.
- Provide project-specific technical guidance and interface with core engineering teams.
- Interpret tender specifications and coordinate with engineering to produce submittal documents.
- Support Sales teams by providing technical justification for solution offerings.
- Participate in customer visits with Sales to identify opportunities and define technical scope.
- Provide sales enablement through training, commercial‑technical clarification, and product positioning.
- Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities based on application insights.
- Support transition from opportunity to order by ensuring alignment between Sales, Dealers, and Engineering.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, consultants, etc.
- Act as a liaison between sales, engineering, and product development teams.
- Provide Pre-Sales technical consultation to dealers and consultants, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and technical differentiators.
- Develop technical documentation, training materials, and reference white papers.
- Deliver product application training to internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions
- Working knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients
- Extensive experience and understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques
- Working knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems
- Working knowledge of relationship management techniques
- Extensive experience and knowledge of a given technology and various application methods
- Technical knowledge of genset controllers, synchronization, paralleling schemes, and electrical system architecture.
- Experience within power systems, generator applications or related required.
