About the role
- Independently perform accounting responsibilities involving the preparation, analysis, and communication of issues ranging from moderate to high complexity.
- Review and analyze financial data, provide insightful commentary to facility leadership, and contribute to projects aimed at improving efficiency and maintaining a lean cost structure.
- Coordinate capital activities; performing analysis, forecasting and system input.
- Support the team with premium freight analysis.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects focused on capital processes, standardization and lean reporting.
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams and maintain a strong internal control environment.
- Partner with facilities to resolve aging invoice issues (minimizing escalation).
- Support monthly close processes and trial balance preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance
- Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
