About the role
- Lead the ICT Operations team and provide personnel management
- Shape the company’s digital resilience
- Ensure efficient processes according to ITIL v4, particularly in Service Desk and Service Request Management
- Ensure smooth operation of ICT systems through effective monitoring as well as incident and problem management
- Responsible for ICT asset management including procurement, maintenance, inventory, deployment and patch management
- Manage identity and access management
- Ensure emergency management and data backup
- Work closely with the CISO on risk management and digital operational resilience
- Coordinate the implementation of technical regulatory requirements such as BAIT, MaRisk, DORA and GDPR
- Support ICT projects and change management
Requirements
- Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent qualification
- More than 5 years of professional experience in ICT operations or a comparable role
- Ideally, initial leadership experience
- Deep knowledge in a cloud-first environment (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)
- Professional experience in a regulated sector (e.g., financial services or healthcare)
- Independent, structured working style and strong hands-on mentality
- Strong communication skills and business-level German and English
- Ideally, experience from the financial sector and knowledge of financial regulations (BAIT, DORA, MaRisk)
- Experience with DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) or supporting IT audits (e.g., BaFin or external auditors)
- Knowledge of information security, experience with AWS Cloud and an ITIL certification
